Chapter 19: Post-round Assessment
If you’re a serious golfer and really want to improve, take the time to do a post-round assessment after each round. Look for situations where you experienced discomfort and didn’t tap in the moment or you didn’t get the discomfort to zero. For example, if you got angry when you mis-hit, tap on it now. “Even though I got angry when I sliced my tee shot on 13, I deeply and completely accept myself.” If you experienced fear on a hole that usually causes you trouble, tap on that. It could be something like, “Even though I was afraid I would hit in the water again on 12, I deeply and completely accept myself.”
Think of it as an energy psychology shower to wash away the emotional dirt
accumulated on the course.
Dr. Jack Eason Rowe
If you tapped on a problem on the course, review it now to make sure there is no emotional residue left. Replay the situation in your mind and see if you can get upset. If so, you still have some work to do. Be sure and look for earlier similar incidents. Clear it all up once and for all.
